Contraire was founded in 2018 by designer and owner Courtney Perti. Since our founding, we’ve reimagined brands and redefined industries by cultivating new ways of seeing through design, strategy, and story. With backgrounds in hospitality, design, and consumer behavior, we create visual identities that are as beautiful as they are meaningful, functional, purposeful, and provocative.

Courtney, the founder of Contraire, has collaborated with diverse clients—spanning community organizations, academic universities, beauty startups, real estate moguls, medical device visionaries, and hospitality groups—allowing her to develop a broad understanding and unique perspective on what it means to create an intentional and successful brand. Courtney holds a BFA from Boston University and a Business Innovation certificate from IDEO U, underscoring her commitment to excellence in the ever-evolving world of strategic design.
